Titles

168 titles, how they are earned, and why every one of them makes your character stronger whether you wear it or not.

A title is a name shown with your character, earned by doing something worth naming: killing a boss, mastering a dungeon, levelling a trade, winning duels. There are 168 of them, and each carries a small permanent bonus.

Every title you own counts

The bonus of every title you have earned applies all the time, worn or not. Wearing a title only chooses which name is displayed. Collecting titles is therefore a slow, steady way to add stats, and there is no reason to keep wearing a weak one for its bonus.

Every bonus works for every class. A title gives one of:

  • all four base stats together (STR, VIT, INT and WIS), or VIT on its own
  • HP, MP, or both
  • physical and magic attack together, or physical and magic defence together
  • accuracy, attack speed or movement speed

None of them favours a fighter over a caster.

Viewing and wearing titles

Open the Character window and press its Title button. Clicking any title shows its name, how to earn it and its bonus, so the list doubles as a checklist of what is left. Only a title you own can be applied.

Some titles are granted a few minutes after you qualify rather than instantly.

Fashion Icon

Fashion Icon goes to the player at the top of the monthly Fashion ranking, scored on the costumes and mounts you register in the Codex during that month: each costume counts 1 point per piece (a full outfit 5), each mount 5. The title gives all four stats +2 and lasts 30 days, and the winner also receives two costume pieces that are only available as this prize, delivered to the Item Mall Warehouse. The standings are on the Rankings page.

Where to go next

  • Achievements - long-running goals, some of which also grant a title
  • Dungeons - where most mastery titles come from
  • Costumes - the collection behind the Fashion ranking
